Personal Shoot 3 Work Record

Preparation

Firstly, I need to make sure that I have enough space on my memory card to take lots of photos that I can piece together when it comes to shooting.  I also need to work out the type of photos that I am going to take so that I can edit my work together a lot easier than if I didn't have an idea of what I am going to do.  I thought that it would be a good idea to look at some images so that I already know the type of image that I want to produce.  Images like this are the type of photographs that I wish to mimic.

What I Hope To Achieve

I am hoping that I am going to be able to create images like the ones above.  Even though there is no structure to the actual look of the image I think that they are still really effective and I like the way that they look.  I am hoping that I am going to be able to get enough photographs so that I have a lot of variation for the editing process of this shoot.  I will shoot some with a lot of thought and then have a lot of random images that I will hopefully be able to piece together to make an effective overall image.

I thought that this photo turned out really well because of the brightness of each of the images.  This one was not planned whilst I was shooting, it was more of a spur of the moment in editing type of image.  I found all of the different images and thought that it would be interesting to see what they would all look like next to each other and it actually turned out really well.  The bright colours of the greens and the hints of yellow throughout make this image look really unique and vibrant.  By placing them all together I think that it adds to the overall effect of the image.

This was another one of my favourite images from the shoot because of the repetition effect that it is giving off.  I used the same image four times to try and make it look like all of the small twigs were coming from the same place.  I think that this idea has worked well in my favour  with the overall look of the image making an impact.  I thought that to make it look a little more unique and interesting to look at, I would change two of the opposite images into a more sepia toned effect sot hat it was different to the other two.  I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, but I think that it actually added to the overall look of the final image.

What I Plan To Do Next

In regards to this shoot I am going to continue to make some interesting edits so that I have more of a variety.  For my next shoot I a going to look at expressions and how I can get them across to the viewer of my photographs.  I think that this is going to be really interesting to look at as there are many different ways in which you can present expression and emotion without using the very obvious way of simply placing all of the images together.
