The first image of the cat chasing the mouse is really fast paced and you can very easily get a sense for the rapid motions that must of been going on. Especially as you can see the eagerness in the mouse's eyes and also the concentration in the cat's eyes. Every aspect of this image has truly been captured and I think that the photographer has definitely achieved a truly striking image. Because the photographer has managed to keep both of their faces in focus and the rest f the image except the paw very blurred, everything comes together really well to show the pace behind the image which is what I think that blurring photography is really about.
When I first saw this blur image, I was immediately drawn to the face. The expression and the emotion portrayed is so deep and even though you cannot see the face and especially the eyes properly, it still feels as though the subject is looking right at you as though they are actually there. For the photographer to have created this type of image, most amazingly, using blurring, is really effective and I think that they have managed to create a very unique and deep photograph.
This photo is very beautiful, because of all the colours that you can see alongside the movement created through the blurring technique. As soon as you look at the image, you are automatically drawn into the style of dance which is supposedly belly dancing. The flecks of blue in the image really represent the style and the motion blur with the arms out to the side, highlights what else might happen if it were to be a video, giving the audience a greater sense of what it is actually like. For the photographer to have created this is really intriguing and I would love to be able to create an image as striking as this in my photography work.
This blurred image of a London bus and telephone box, captures the essence of London perfectly. The rushing bus indicates the busy lifestyle that is London and the telephone box to the side being completely stationary, indicates how you can find solitude and peacefulness in some areas. The bright lights and especially the red colour that is very prominent in this image, all adds to the overall effect of the image because of the red colour being stereotypically quite an English colour.
I really love the fun side to this image because it captures the simpleness of the playground. A few friends swinging backwards and forwards but being photographed in a much more artistic way has really made this image stand out. The sun beaming in and the bright green grass all come together to make the image really something. I also think that it is really interesting how the photographer has managed to get all of the children to be in a sort of staggered pattern to make it look more realistic. Whether the photographer meant to do this I don't know, but either way it has worked out very nicely.
This waterfall image is very naturally beautiful. Because of the amount of time the aperture was open for, the camera was able to capture the movement of the water falling downwards. The effect makes the water seem smooth and a lot less harsh than if this effect was not to be used. It is also highly effective, how the photographer has managed to keep everything else around it completely still so that all of the attention is on the water. The way that the light is hitting the water, is also very striking and gives the image a more unusual and intriguing look.
